This week, we’d like to highlight Taylor Paletta, Support Team Lead at TaxBit. Taylor recently celebrated her one year TaxBitiversary!
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m originally from Saint Augustine, Florida. I moved to Utah to go to school at the University of Utah, where I received my full stack web development certification. Before TaxBit, I was working in a call center for technical support.
Q: What made you choose TaxBit?
I chose TaxBit for the opportunities for career advancement. Being one of 15 employees, one of three Support Agents, and the first female employee! I was determined that this would be the best company for me to build my career. The opportunity for growth has proven endless.
Q: What does your day-to-day look like at TaxBit?
My day-to-day tends to revolve around making sure that our individual users and our internal Support Agents are happy. I ensure that our Support Team is providing our consumers with the best possible customer support. TaxBit Support is known for making sure that our users are being taken care of both during and after tax season!
Q: What’s your favorite part of working at TaxBit?
My co-workers! I love coming into the office to see everyone’s smiling faces. Everyone is so easy to work and chat with! Everyone is super uplifting and positive—it’s an amazing environment to work in.
Q: What’s your favorite part of working in crypto?
Crypto is forever changing! There’s always something new and upcoming to learn about. I only recently got into crypto. Before working at TaxBit, I didn’t know too much about crypto other than Bitcoin, and even then my impression was that it was a currency only used on the dark web. I’ve learned so much since then and am always learning more!
Q: Outside of work, what are some fun things you like to do?
I love to travel! I typically travel to Florida and California because I love to go to Disneyland and Disney World. I also like Universal Studios…basically, I love anywhere with a roller coaster.I also love to be on a boat, whether that’s sailing, floating, or flying through the water—I love it all! My goal is to eventually buy a boat so I can spend my weekends on the water in the beautiful sunshine.
Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
This is a hard question, as I would love to travel anywhere that welcomes cultural learning. I love to travel and read about history as well as get immersed in the culture!If I had to pick, I would take a month to travel to all 12 of the Disney Theme Parks. That way, I can check them off my bucket list, but also visit the beautiful and amazing location that the parks are located in.
