We’re excited to announce that Aaron Jacob has joined TaxBit as Head of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). In this role, Aaron will be leading TaxBit’s efforts in building and scaling TaxBit’s ERP solution—the Core Accounting Suite—which streamlines and automates the financial reporting needs that businesses and management teams face regarding digital assets.

Prior to TaxBit, Jacob spent eight years at Chatham Financial, working with the treasury and accounting teams of corporate and large financial services clients. He advised companies on derivative portfolio management, finance and accounting process transformation, technical accounting solutions, and also oversaw the development of Chatham’s core financial services technology. During this time, Jacob worked across many asset classes, including equities, foreign currency, interest rates, and commodities.

Jacob has also previously worked at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, where he assisted the Board in making improvements to US GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles). Jacob has a Master’s degree in Accounting from BYU and earned his MBA from The Wharton School, where he graduated as a Palmer Scholar.

Jacob looks forward to applying his expertise and experience to help businesses confidently and seamlessly report on digital assets. Recently, Jacob wrote a letter to FASB and shared his insights on the challenges of accounting for cryptocurrency in The Wall Street Journal.

“I’ve been so impressed with what the team at TaxBit has accomplished and couldn’t be more excited to join the team in providing powerful technology solutions that benefit both consumers and businesses.” remarked Jacob. “Our goal is to provide our clients a world class experience while easing the compliance and reporting challenges of working with a new asset class as it becomes mainstream.”
