Automated syncing with Paxos API and TaxBit

  1. From any page on PAXOS, select the Settings button in the top right corner.
  2. From the Settings page, select the "API Management" tab.
  3. Under "Your Existing Credentials" select "New API Key"
  4. In the "Label" box, create a name for the the new API key. This can be any name, and does not need to be copied down. In this example, "TaxBit" has been chosen for the name.
  5. For permissions, select "Read All". You do not need to select "Write All".
  6. Select "Create Credentials"
  7. The new API key has been created. Copy the Client ID, as it will not be shown again.
  8. Copy the Client Secret, as it will not be shown again.

Once you have your Client ID and Client Secret you can complete the connection process in TaxBit by selecting Add Transactions > Add Exchange > and selecting PAXOS.

Importing a Paxos CSV into TaxBit

PAXOS offers three types of CSV exports- Wallet, Trade, and PAX Gold transaction exports. Each type is necessary for accounting for all transactions on PAXOS.

Wallet

  1. From any page on PAXOS, select "Wallet" in the upper left portion of the page
  2. Select "Activity"
  3. Select the "Download CSV" button on the right portion of the page

Trade

  1. Select "Trade" in the upper left portion of the page
  2. Select "Activity"
  3. Select the "Download CSV" button on the right portion of the page

PAX Gold

  1. Select "PAX Gold" in the upper left portion of the page
  2. Select "Activity"
  3. Select the "Download CSV" button on the right portion of the page

The files are now ready to be submitted via email to support@taxbit.com if you need to do so.
